Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception – Vigil Mass

Join us to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Through the centuries the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, "full of grace" through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Blessed Pope Pius IX proclaimed on December 8, 1854: "The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Saviour of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin." — Catechism of the Catholic Church December 7th ~7:00pm- Vigil Mass December 8th~ 8:15am-Parish/School Mass 7:00pm– Parish Mass

Advent Penance Service 6:00PM

As Catholics, we have the opportunity to cleanse our souls through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Advent Penance Service gives us an extended period of time to do so, especially if we cannot make it to regular scheduled Confession times. At the service, we gather as a community to hear the Lord's Word and reflect upon our sins before we individually seek reconciliation and absolution with one of the priests who will be present. This is a great way to prepare our minds and souls for the celebration of Christmas, the celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ.

Night of Encounter

"Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a loft idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction..."  Pope Benedict XVI Christianity is the announcement that God became man, it is an encounter of the world with God. We hear throughout Scripture how this encounter with Jesus changed people's lives and many believed. This night is an opportunity for each person to encounter the Lord through Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship, quite prayer, and confession.
